In ancient times, a wheeze was a minor nuisance.
Abandon medicine, take no drugs, and it could heal itself.
Yet in our era, asthma has become so hard to cure that it has even been promoted to an 【incurable disease】.
The 【Huangdi Neijing】 issued its warning long ago.
The 【Huangdi Neijing】 says: when morality declines just a little, evil qi arrives on schedule… in the present age, one must array toxic drugs to attack the interior…
This Yellow Emperor’s masterwork, finished 2,200 years ago—the root classic of Taoist medicine (the root of Chinese medicine) and, alongside the 【Daodejing】, the other great classic—speaks in the simplest, most vernacular language to warn the world:
Because mankind has rebelled against Heaven and abandoned the Dao, turned its back on the Way and lost Virtue, spirit has withered, life has become unbridled, so we rely on drugs, and every sort of drug is 【poison】, 【toxic medicine】, a complicated arsenal of 【drug toxins】, repeatedly assaulting the body, damaging human 【central qi】, exhausting original qi, leaving righteous qi insufficient; then evil qi (cold qi, toxic qi, chemical drug toxins) invades, and sickness clings to us like a shadow…
The prophecy is precise—utterly breathtaking!
This is why the 【Huangdi Neijing】, the greatest medical book in human history and the non-negotiable canon of Chinese medicine, hardly prescribes any drugs at all.
Its handful of formulas use only foodstuffs: medicine and food share the same source, 【healing without drugs】!
The Yellow Emperor said: …there are 【True Men】 who 【support】 Heaven and Earth, grasp 【Yin and Yang】, breathe 【essence and qi】, stand alone and 【guard the spirit】, the muscles 【as one】.
Therefore their lifespan rivals 【Heaven and Earth】, 【without】 an end—this is 【life born of the Dao】.
Life born of the Dao is 【as one】.
【Dao Yi】, the True Man.
